Recycled Surface

Summary

Deteriorated asphalt pavement surface is heated by a large road heater and a custom-built machine capable of scarifying, mixing, and replacing to regain smooth surface.

Merit

• A repair method suitable to the extent that damage can be selected form many kinds of recycled surface methods.
• Surface elevation does not change. Economical, and has shorter construction period than compared with the conventional method.
• Save resources through use of existing pavement.

Use

• Restoration of smoothness of the surface damaged by plastic flow or abrasion. Improvement of slippery surface.
• Restoration of roads excavated for water or sewage works. Repair of bridge deck pavements.
